Hi welcome to my wonderful home page. My Name is Gerry,and I love the Radio,Computors,and making friends. My hobbies are: Amateur Radio and the collection of telphone cards from all around the World. I am located on the island of Dominica and our Dominican prefix is J7...For you, who do not know any thing about call signs,the #73in the Amateurs World, means {best regrads}. Knowing that the prefix of the Island is {J7} over the years gone by,the #3 was added by the Amateur Radio Club. My call sign is J73GE. And I operate mainly Kenwood and Yaesu equipment at my QTH. I operate the Kenwood Ts-450s, Ts-130s and the Ts-120s for HF communications. I also use the Yaesu Ft-8000 Dual Band Transceiver, the ADI-146 Mono Bander,the AZDEN PCS 6000H, and the Yaesu Ft-480r as Base Stations. I also have the Yaesu 11-R for hand helds. I am also on packet Radio, and I use the PC-PAKRATT 232MBX Modem with my data radio from MFJ. I also have here in the Ham Shack a Marine Radio that I use to listen to the Boats when they go by..In my Mobile I have the Yaesu FT-2200 that I use to Communicate from where ever I am.

My Country

Dominica also called the Nature Island of the Caribbean, and it is located between two French Countries Martinique to the South and Guadeloupe to the North of the Island. The Island was called WAI'TOUCOUBOULI meaning 'tall is her body' before Columbus by the CARIBS. The caribs are also called the INDIGENOUS People. Our national bird is called the Sisserou Parrot. {IMPERIAL BIRD}. It is a very beautiful bird with many bright colors. It is mainly found in the forests and it is Endangered. The second larges Boilding Lake in the World is found here. The population is 80,000 persons, and there are 365 rivers on the Island, that keep it very green 'I think'.

My Time

I spend most of my time in THESE placesI can be found in my vehicle,on the radio or in front of my computer. The best place of all in Church. I can also be found at my job site. I use the pentium 100mhz with 1.2 gigs hard disk space and 80 megs of ram. On my system I use the ICQ network and VocalTec Internet Phone to make Contacts. I Am a Christian, and has been in the Faith for sixteen years now. I Am a minister of the Gosple and I amalso a teacher of the word at our CHURCH. I heald the Presidency for the MEN'S group at the church for some time, and is very involved in the work of the Ministry. I Am married for Fourteen year now and have one SON. He holds a Amateur Radio call sign along with my wife. My Wife's call {J73TA} and My Son's call {J73XA},he is the youngest ham opperator on the Island.
